Ramiz Brahimaj by submission is +460.  It is really tempting.  A guy with 100 percent win rate with only submissions vs a guy who has never been submitted before in his long career.  I think I might pull the trigger on this one because this fight should end up on the floor at some point throughout the full 15 minutes and Ramiz has a big chance of sinking in a choke.

I know the only recent comparison of a grappling specialist against Court McGee was the Sean Brady fight but Brady wasn't all that aggressive with his grappling against McGee.  In fact, he was actually defending McGee's takedowns early in the fight.  He chose to instead stand and bang with him most of the fight.

I'm not saying that Ramiz is a better grappler than Brady but he is more of a "finishing" grappler if that makes sense.  If he is going to hunt for submissions, he will more than likely find it.

@dep that's bananas. Going to bet it.

Edit: However, his opponent, upon checking, has never been subbed.

I'm just putting a unit on it.  Nothing big.  It's a 4x return so it's worth a shot.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 6 of 10 Winners, 3 Perfect, 375 Points   |   Tied for 1051st

Kattar vs. Chikadze
Giga Chikadze, TKO, R3
Giga's about to do what Max couldn't and then call out Volk, but Volk's still gonna take the easier TKZ fight. I just hope Giga yells out "OH so you a wrestler now??" lol cause I guarantee Kattar tries to wrestle in this fight

Sherman vs. Collier
Jake Collier, TKO, R3
Chase has been looking awful his last couple fights. Gassed by the second. And heavyweight Collier doesn't actually look bad haha, never would've guessed!

Royval vs. Bontorin
Brandon Royval, DEC
I'm honestly kinda surprised over 50% of Royval pickers are picking him to win by sub. I think this plays out on the feet. Bontorin got some good grappling too

Brahimaj vs. McGee
Court McGee, DEC
Great matchup for Court. He still got gas in the tank. Wrestle **** incoming

Kelleher vs. Croom
Brian Kelleher, SUB, R1
Guillotine

@Baldric, that's why this stuff is fun.  Can Brahimaj be the first to sub Court?  Will Court's age and miles of wear/tear catch up to him in this fight?  We'll find out!

Hey bro, I totally agree with you, and I am 100% saying that Brahimaj is a better grappler than Brady. In MMA if they fought I would pick Brahimaj any day of the week to out grapple Brady. We may get to see that one day hopefully.

I think Brahimaj subs him late in R1.

to be quite honest with you bro, unless Giga gets a lucky shot in I just do not see how he can win against Kattar. Ok maybe not a lucky shot, but lets say an early KO shot in exactly the right place and angle to put out Kattar.

He will start to gas in R3 and Kattar will not. He is very very unlikely to be able to KO Kattar and that is the only way I see him winning.

After R3 Kattar should start to take over and put a beating on Giga, I doubt Giga will be able to take that and I see a late finish for Kattar.

I see a lot of love for Giga, but I just dont see how he is going to win?

I think the odds on this and the Brahimaj submission prob are flat out ridiculous.

Just made a very nice Hail Mary parlay (probably won't hit but what the hell!)

1. Boxing - Abraham Nova Vs William Encarnacion to go over 5.5 rounds  x 2.0
2. Ramiz Brahimaj inside the distance  x 3.6
3. Calvin Kattar inside the distance x 5.0 (hedged with Kattar by Dec x 6.0 in a seperate bet)
4. Chookagian Dec x 1.8
5. Collier Dec x 2.6
6. Royval inside the distance x 2.1 (hedged with Bontorin ITD x 4.0)

6 Leg parlay x 364
$10 to win $3640

Probably not gonna hit it but wish me luck!

I think collier decision is pretty likely tbh. He’s one of the highest volume heavyweights on the roster and once it leaves the first round he should be fine. Sherman fades after 5

You are right guys, Collier decision isnt half bad.

One more thing, was rewatching the Giga Chikadze Vs Jamal Emmers fight, one thing struck me that I had not noticed before. Suggest you rewatch that fight and see if you agree.

Emmers got Giga tired with his wrestling/clinch work and I just noticed, after Giga got tired he almost completely stopped throwing kicks and started to almost exclusively punch. If something similar happens I think that will play right into Kattars wheelhouse if he survives the first 2 rounds.

And this was after the brilliant intellect that is Jamal Emmers decided not to wrestle at all for the first 7 minutes and have a distance kick boxing match with Giga, and then when Giga was gassed and vulnerable but had clearly won 2 rounds then proceeded to have a jab exhibition in R3 so he could lose a nice 2-1 decision.

Collier and Bush doing the last 8 weeks with Krause makes me slightly nervous about picking Borschev since he stuffed zero takedowns in the DWCS debut. My buddy at Glory told me Bush was doing hard wrestling rounds with Dawson pretty much this whole camp, so I guess we can anticipate that entering into it. But then again Borschev lives at Alpha Male the home of wrestling. Idk, tough pick for me.

Collier however is an easy play here. Expect good leg kicks and high volume imo.

@tieoken slava makes up for his awful tdd with a pretty good get up game so I think he will be able to deal with bush’s wrestling. We’ll see tho
