Also Thad jean vs romain debienne is now official for this weeks pfl. I also saw Isaiah Hokit will be on the card this week; safe to assume he’s fighting Jordan Olivier. That’s a great matchup imo

Salt Lake City, ufc has an obligation to give them a ppv every year

Also fun fact, I found out why ufc loves SLC so much (besides getting paid). Turns out, the owner of the arena (Ryan Smith), is the founder of qualtrics. Qualtrics is owned by silver lake (private equity fund), who in turn is a majority owner of endeavor(ufc parent company for those who still don’t know). So I’m sure Smith lobbied to the Endeavor board of directors to sign a deal with SLC (he also owns the jazz so makes sense he wants more sporting events in his arena)

Would like to see Albert Tumenov back in the ufc, last loss was to Leon Edwards back in 2016. Has won 8 fights in a row and is only 32 years old.

alot of bums still in the ufc like Kenan Song, Trevin Giles, Niko Price, and Matt Semelsberger

Tumenov vs Luque would be a good matchup

He resigned with ACA not too long ago. I think sadly he’s gonna be fighting his career out in Russia. Ufc had the chance to sign him when he fought in that weird triller combat fight, but chose not to

Dana said they can’t go to hawaii because there are no infrastructure. I just don’t understand. The state is full of tourists honolulu is a decent city. How is it possible there are no arenas or other venues that can accommodate a big crowd.

Some media members didn’t rank him at 155 because this was likely a one off, hence why he is ranked 9 instead of above gaethje. Since some members didn’t rank him, it lowered the overall ranking for his lightweight debut

I do agree the ranking is silly tho, if you beat someone in the rankings you should move ahead of them
