Part of me is actually hoping Fergy pulls off the upset but picking Khabib, though i might change my mind depending on how the odds go.

Ferguson is on such a great roll, it's hard to pick against him. I think this might be the end of his run though.

I´ve been rooting for Khabib since his first UFC fight, but this tyime I´m going with El Cucuy, even if the odds are against him.

This will actually be a pretty close grinding fight... I think nurm still out grinds to win. .. but Tony is actually a really tough match for most guys between 145 - 170

Nurmegamedov by UD. Then he gets his title shot.

I think Nurmy wins, but with his layoff and Ferg's improvement, I'm tempted to pick upset.

Khabib will serve as Damien Maia to Fergie's Neil Magny. As in "cool streak bro, but you're not an A-lister"

I don't know if I'd go that far. Ferguson has beat much better competition in his run than Magny did.

Very interesting fight. FW & MW are getting all the love these days because the very top of the divisions are truly great but they lack depth and prospects. This fight is a good example of why I think WW, LW, and even HW (although they don't have prospects) to some extent are more interesting: the unknown. The champ in these 3 divisions may or may not truly be the best fighter at the moment.

Did Pettis just have an off-night?
Is Gilbert on the decline?
Has RDA truly improved that much?
How will Khabib look after the layoff, is his resume good enough to justify the rankings love he gets? Remember the Tibau fight? Still don't get how that was 3 30-27s when he couldn't take Gleison down, got taken down twice, and his only "effective" offense was pure aggression & pace.

And these are only some of the many uncertainties surrounding the top LW fighters. The upcoming title fight, this one, and others to be made and fought over the next year will answer some if not all of these questions and the rankings may look vastly different by this time next year.

Did Pettis just have an off-night? No, RDA got dat PED chin
Is Gilbert on the decline? No, he's just not as good as he was hyped up to be. He's great, but no top 3.
Has RDA truly improved that much? PEDs will do that to a fighter
How will Khabib look after the layoff, is his resume good enough to justify the rankings love he gets? Khabib is GOAT because he has a hairline.

Interesting fight. Hopefully Khabib doesn't figure out some way to **** up his knees before it happens.

Good, accurate striker who has a reach advantage over a guy who lunges in when he strikes and leaves his chin up in the air. On top of a 2 years lay off.... I smell an "upset"

Shocker; Khabib out of fight with an injury.

I don't know what they're doing at AKA, but it's probably wrong.

Huh and so it begins, at least they got barboza for the replacement which in terms of rankings makes sense imo but whatever.
